Cybercrime

In short: A governmental campaign to make people aware about cybercrime.

In long: Everyone is using internet nowadays, so do criminals. Cybercrime is on the rise and the Dutch Government wants to let people know what they can do themselves to protect their personal files and photos. Since cybercrime is quite an invisible crime, for most people there’s no urgency in taking steps towards a safer digital environment. That’s why we visualised cybercrime in a way people can relate to: giving the ‘cybercriminal’ a body by showing a burglars hand literally breaking through screens. The solution is to pick safe passwords, never click on weird links and update your device regularly, because these often contain security updates.

Campaign was mainly visible on Facebook, Twitter and snapchat.
